Today in 1921 police in Sunbury, Pennsylvania issue an edict requiring women to wear skirts ending at least 4 inches below the knee. On this day in 1951 the trial of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg begins. Both historical events make me want to shout. Perhaps Susan Birmingham felt the same way when on this date in 1982 she makes the loudest recorded human shout — 120 decibels.
